Meyer’s climate-neutrality developments presented in Miami
Meyer Group has presented new cruise ship concepts at Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami, demonstrating its latest research efforts.
The Avatar cruise ship concept represents the research being carried out in Meyer Turku’s NEcOLEAP research project, which aims to develop a climate-neutral cruise ship until the end of 2025 and then build it from 2030.
Avatar includes new galley concepts with automated logistics, the use of alternative materials, updated stateroom design and energy efficiency optimisations. The construction of the ship is intended to emphasise sustainable material selections and recycling, influenced by the principals of a circular economy.
The Avatar concept represents the latest research in Meyer’s efforts to develop a climate-neutral ship.
